Secret Agents needed!!

Someone's stolen the secret formula for the blue decision-making fluid used
in Magic 8 balls!  Can you retrieve it before it's too late?

Ken Krieger and Lilly Tao are hosting a ROAD RALLY.  You are invited to join
in on the fun and frolicking, mayhem and mysteries.


Q: When is it?

A: Saturday, August 29, 1998


Q: How long is it?

A: 9:00AM - 6:00PM plus a BBQ celebration afterwards.


Q: I've never done this before?  What is it?

A: A road rally is similar to a scavenger hunt.  You are given clues
   that consist of puzzles which lead you to other clues and ultimately
   to the final goal.  Clues will include puzzles which may require you to
   use any and all of your senses (including your common sense!). These may
   take the form of physical puzzles, word games, or even a conundrum
   requiring your team's vast knowlege of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. The
   best ones (like this one!) use things that are a bit out of the ordinary
   and unexpected!  Prepare to use your creative thinking skills, pull
   together all the resources you have at your disposal, and HAVE FUN.
   It's not just a game, it's an adventure!  And it's not rendered (like
   Myst), it's REAL(tm).


Q: How do I register?

A: Get a team together (see next question) and register by email
   (one registration per team) to Lilly.  Please include
   all team member names and their email addresses (if they have one)
   in the email. (if you and none of your teammates have access to e-mail,
   (Get a Yahoo e-mail account!) you can call Lilly...
   But we really prefer you register by e-mail!)


Q: How do I make a team?

A: A team consists of any number of people in ONE vehicle.  The puzzles
   vary in their nature, so it is a good idea to get a diverse set of
   people with a healthy mix of perspectives and talents together for a
   team.  Gather a bunch of people together and register before all the
   spots are filled!  There is a limit of ten teams so DON'T DELAY.


Q: Does it cost anything?

A: There is a $10 fee per person to cover materials and other expenses
   associated with the creation of the rally.


Q: Where do I go?

A: The starting point and other details will be sent out at a later date
   to all registered teams.


Q: Um, how big is it?  Do I get to drive to Las Vegas and back in a day?

A: No, you probably won't get to go to Las Vegas (sorry).  The rally will
   take place within a predefined area which will be outlined for you on
   the day of the race.  Do be prepared to do some driving.


Q: Can I bring the kids?

A: Sure!  There is no age restriction on team members.  If your kids aren't
   going to participate in rally but are just along for the ride, we'll
   waive their $10 fee.
