Burn a cd for each iso. You will need one CD for each ISO. Generally you will not need the SRPM CD's (at least until after the install).

If you do not have the mkcd command or it does not work, you can use:
Boot from CD #1 and follow the instructions.
Get the kernel debian kernel package by typing
sudo apt-get linux-source-2.6.10which will create the file /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.10.tar.bz2 containing the linux source already patched the way Ubuntu needs it patched.
sudo apt-get kernel-packagewhich is needed to build the kernel.

The easiest way to look for and install packages is to run
sudo synapticYou can also install a particular package named <pkg> with
sudo apt-get <pkg>
