Lock Down Your Aerial
Listening to The Streets' "Original Pirate Material" for the first time in a long time, thanks to the bit in Bring the Noise that suggested a reapparaisal vis-à-vis the end-of-rave-as-vanguard theme that runs through the last quarter of the book, and what strikes me the most is the prominence of the Brixton references that occasionally crop up, "While London Bridge is burning down/Brixton's burning up," "back to the Dogstar," etc. Funny how the album that perhaps most reminds me of my first year in the UK, living in Leeds, should be so pregnant with references to my future London stomping grounds - SW2, big up yourself!
