Finn has had a busy winter and spring, 2005. 
In addition to training for his TDX, he has been in several obedience workshops
and had some fun times on long stays at "Faraway."

He also earned his *second* Tracking Dog title at the 
PASA (Peninsula Australian Shepherd Club) test -- 
this time an ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of American) title -- 
on January 16, 2005 at Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, California. 
Track time: 7 minutes, and he nibbled on grass the entire way :-).

Finnegan earns his Tracking Dog Excellent title!
On March 6, 2005 at the NORCAL GRC's Tracking Test held at Arastradero Preserve in Palo Alto, California, Finn earned his TDX in high style.  We drew the last track on an unusually warm early spring day, and as I feared, did not run the track until 12:30 p.m. after a hike up to the start flag.  I wet him down as best I could and made sure I had plenty of water in my pack-- but I needn't have worried!  Finn was off like a shot from the flag, and despite scaring up a probable snake in some high cover (running back briefly to his momma), water breaks at the articles, some investigatory work at the second set of x-tracks, and being startled by some hikers on the last leg of his track -- he took all of 14 minutes to find the glove! 
I was SO proud of my boy-- what a high!  So, at the young age of 28 months, 
Finn is now known as Hyegold Midsumr Knights Dream TDX ASCA-TD CGC.
