Eliot
How Goldens Have
Changed My Life Haiku

Loneliness, alone
Gold'n heartbeats fill the hollow
left from the dark night.

Lone whispers take flight
who will listen in the breeze
your brown eyed Golden

-Maggie Jong

Haiku from the Richardson Pack
(Scotty breaking the rules...as usual!)

Becky:

Alone; a dark garage,
nobody to love
now I am home. I am love.

We Gaze. Our eyes meet.
We love too much
We pray for many tomorrows

Earnie:

Dinner treat! Some broccoli!
it makes me fart
dad will make faces tonight

Peggy Sue:

Bored; I surf the yard
Hark! Look, a treat!
Fondly I recall last night's broccoli

-Scotty Richardson

Peggy Sue
Scotchie's Haiku

What are you eating
I have seen it leave your plate
So now it is mine

Throw, run, throw again
Oh my hums, I have trained you
Well.  Throw it again

Perfect winter day
I just buried my ball in
Snow.  Now find it please

After dinnertime
I put my face next to yours
And belch to say thanks

(This one is dedicated
to my baby Scotchie...)

My golden angel
Leaping soaring happiness
In my heart always

(and this last one is for Will....)

For all goldens
Mistreated, alone and sad
I pray for your peace

-Jessica & Scotchie
