The family bible includes a marriage certificate reading:
"This Certifies that P. C. Foster [sic] of Chicago and Marie Witt of Chicago were united by me in the Bond of Holy Matrimony According to the rite of the Holy Roman Catholic Church at Holy Angels Church on the 14th day of June in the year of our Lord 1899".
