On Oct 1 1864 George Hincher, born Oct 7 1842 in Gates, New York, son of Harvey & Nancy W. Hincher, enlisted at Andover, Allegany County, New York as a Private in Company E, 141st New York Infantry.5
George Hincher died Apr 3 1865, Willets Hospital (Grants General Hospital), Willets Point, Neww York.1,5 Medical: George died from diarrhea (probably dysentery).5
A George W. Henshaw is buried in Nashville National Cemetery, near Nashville, Tennessee. He was a private in Company K, 173rd Ohio Infantry, and recorded as having died Apr 4 1865.6 It seems likely that this was the same as this George Hincher.
