Walter was the illegitimate son of George Wesley Hinshaw and Sarah Jane Noblet.11 His father married Nellie Lucretia Moore in 1895.12,13 His mother married James Riley Wilson11 (Riley E. Wilson)13 on May 10 1899,11,13 by whom she had a daughter, Bertha Wilson, born Mar 1900.9

He was recorded as short, slender, blue eyes, brown hair.8

Icy Beals
Icy Beals, 106, of Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown died Friday, June 2, 2000 at the Russell County Hospital. She was born in Brown County, Indiana February 14, 1894 to the late Susie Kerrick Johnson and the late Eddie Calvin Johnson. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Beals and her first husband Walter Hinshaw, two sons Walter Hinshaw and Lawrence Hinshaw; one daughter Ruby L. Jones; one grandson Lawrence Jones; one great-granddaughter Mary K. Jones; three sisters; and one brother. She is survived by five grandchildren Jerry Kay Collins of Marshall, Illinois; Karen Niece, of Seelyville, Indiana; Michael Jones of Campbellsville, Kentucky; James Jones of Springfield, Virginia and Richard Hinshaw of Columbus, Indiana; one daughter-in-law Agnes Hinshaw of Russell Springs; and a host of great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, June 5, 2000, 1:00 p.m., at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Merrill officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. Bernard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
