Born 1904, Birmingham, England.1  

He married Esme Collett.2  Esme was from Bath, Somerset.2  

Hal was designer at the Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, then Theatre Royal, Windsor.1  He lived in Ascot near the race course.2  Later, towards the end of his life, he became an architect, working in Australia.  As an architect in Australia he did most of the work on the famous Sydney "Opera House".  He returned to England to retire, visiting Australia for a brief period, just before his death.1  

Henry "Hal" Henshaw died about 1982.1  

Esme had died a few years before Hal, in the late 1970's.1  After Esme died Hal had retired to Launceton, Cornwall, where he continued to paint local scenes.2
