Dorothy Lain Hinshaw, 64, of 69 Willow Creek Village Mobile Court, Bloomington, died at 11:07 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 24, 1998) at 110 Willow Creek Village, while visiting her brother. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Metzler-Froelich Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Richard Gray officiating. Burial will be at Bellflower Cemetery, Bellflower. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home. Memorials may be made to the McLean County Heart Association. Mrs. Hinshaw was born Dec. 15, 1933, in Osman, a daughter of John and Cecile Cade Lain. She married James E. Hinshaw on May 24, 1958, in Peoria. He died May 3, 1998. Survivors include two sons, Stephen "Mike" (Brenda) Leach, Paris, Tenn.; and James Robert Carwile, Holt Summit, Mo.; one brother, Frank (Linn) Lain, Bloomington; two sisters, Velma (Loren) Kaufman and Lilly Weihmeir, both of Bloomington; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one great-granddaughter.
