Moray I. Bowling
Sept. 27, 1922 - April 6, 2006
Moray I. Bowling, of Louisville, died of heart failure Thursday, April 6, 2006, in Louisville. She was 83.
The daughter of George W. Ward and Lohr Gladys Winland Ward, she was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Antioch, Ohio. She married Aud L. Henshaw in 1943 in Stonefort, Ill. He died in 1948. She married Paul Begley Bowling on July 30, 1950, in Denver. He died in 2001.
Mrs. Bowling moved to Lafayette in 2000, and to Louisville in 2003.
A high-school graduate, she worked in management for Safeway Stores Inc. in Denver and was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers.
"She was everybody's mother, and never turned away anyone in need," her family said.
Survivors include three sons, David Henshaw, of Memphis, Tenn., Brett Hunt, of Poulsbo, Wash., and Travis Henshaw, of Aurora; two daughters, Pamela Hahl, of Littleton, and Charmin Gerardy, of Louisville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette.
