He married Susan E. Webster3,5 [Elizabeth Webster1,2].  Susan was born Aug 14 1837, North Carolina.2,5  (c1834, Virginia).1  (c1838, Virginia).3

William Hinchy, age 28, born in Virginia; blacksmith; $100 real estate; $40 personal property.
Elizabeth Hinchy, age 26, born in Virginia.
Loyed Hinchy, age 4, born in Virginia.
Mary Hinchy, age 1, born in Virginia.

In 1862 William enlisted in Company E, 22nd Regiment, Virginia Infantry.  He served two years in the Western Army, and was then detailed as a blacksmith.5

Taylor, S., black male, servant, age 10, born Jan 1890 in Virginia; parents born in Virginia; occupation: servant; cannot read or write.
Living two houses away in 1900 was the family of son Loyd.7
