B-19 BASE, GUAM, Oct. 6 -- (U.P.) -- Twenty-two North Carolina men, members of the 19th Bombardment Group, are among the 20th Air Force men who have been commended by General Carl Spaatz.

HINSHAW EAST BEND -- Mrs. June Taylor Hinshaw, 75, of 3937 Baltimore Rd. died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Smithtown, N.C., to Will and Viola Bowman Taylor.  She was a graduate of East Bend High School and Draughon's Business College of Winston-Salem.  On June 15, 1946, she married Jesse Frank Hinshaw of Boonville.  She worked many years as a legal secretary, farm wife, accountant and tax preparer.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and nine brothers and sisters.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  Surviving are two sons, Jesse Frank Hinshaw Jr. and wife, Carolyn, and Kim Hinshaw and wife, Joyce, all of East Bend; two grandsons, Frank Royal Hinshaw of Raleigh and Evan Wayne Hinshaw of East Bend; one brother, Sherman Taylor of Dobson; and many friends.  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Floyd Puckett at the Huff Funeral Home Chapel in East Bend.  Burial will follow in the Stony Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
