He married Elizabeth Oliver2 [Libbie Oliver1].  Elizabeth, daughter of William Oliver & Elizabeth Histed, was born Oct 20 1845, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.2,3  

During the Civil War, Adolphus ("A.M. Henshaw") enlisted on Feb 27 1864 as a Private in Company C, 2nd Pennsylvania Heavy Artillery Regiment.4  

In Pennsylvania in Nov 1891 (?) [date unclear], Adolphus Henshaw applied for a pension as an invalid veteran of Company C, 2nd Pennsylvania H.A.5  

Adolphus and Elizabeth were shown in the 1910 census, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; living with them was their grandson Leon:6,7

Adolphus Henshaw, age 66, born in Pennsylvania.
Elizabeth Henshaw, age 64, born in Pennsylvania.
Leon Toms, age 12, born in Pennsylvania.

Adolphus M. Henshaw died May 16 1922, buried Indian Orchard Cemetery, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.1  (1924).2  

In Pennsylvania on Jul 6 192? [date unclear], Elizabeth Henshaw applied for a pension as widow of Adolphus M. Henshaw (or Hinshaw - unclear), veteran of Company C, 2nd Pennsylvania H.A.5  

Elizabeth died 1932, buried Indian Orchard Cemetery, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.2  

Adolphus and Elizabeth are buried in a family plot which is well marked by a little wall around three sides which looks to be made of cement.2  Buried in the same family plot are the following from the family of daughter Eva:2
