Ella C. Hinshaw Benninghoff
SAN MARCOS - Ella C. Hinshaw Benninghoff, 88, of San Marcos died June 24, 2003, in San Marcos. She was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Pueblo, Colo., and lived in Upland for 25 years. She was a homemaker and attended schools in Pueblo. She was a member of the Upland Women's Club; St. Mark's Episcopal Church; Eastern Star Upland Chapter #346; past president and lifetime member of PTA at Upland Elementary School; and was an adult sponsor for Job's Daughters Upland Chapter. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed China painting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Benninghoff Jr. Ella is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Benninghoff Williams of Ontario, Barbara A. Benninghoff of Belen, N.M., Virginia L. Benninghoff Solomon of Los Angeles, and Diana L. Benninghoff Storti of Carlsbad; her son, Charles F. Benninghoff III of San Juan Capistrano; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside. Interment will follow. Eternal Hills Memorial Park is in charge of arrangements.
