James Lynn (Jim) Perry, 92, of Roxton died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, 4 Feb 1990, at McCuistion Medical Center.  Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, 6 Feb., at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Martin Corie and the Rev. Burgie Thompson officiating.  Burial was in Restland Cemetery at Roxton.  Mr. Perry was born 6 Apr 1897, in Hazel, Ky., a son of John Lynn and Sonora Perry.  He moved to Roxton as a child and attended schools there and married Vera Hinshaw on 12 Nov 1921, in Paris.  He was a farmer and rancher and a service station operator in Roxton.  He was a verteran of World War I.  Surviving are his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Newman Neeley of Sherman; and several nieces and nephews.

In 1996 Vera was living in/near Roxton, Lamar County, Texas.2

Vera Hinshaw Perry, 94, of Roxton died Thursday, Sep. 12, 1996, in McCuistion Hospital and Health Center.  Mrs. Perry was born July 23, 1902, in the Ambia community.  She was a daughter of Walter Scott and Mary Elizabeth Hinshaw.  She was a member of the Roxton First United Methodist Church.  She married James Lynn 'Jim' Perry Nov. 12, 1921, in Paris.  He preceded her in death in 1990 after 68 years of marriage.  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Chapel.  Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery in Roxton.  The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian Perry Neeley and M. Newman Neeley of Sherman and several nieces and nephews.
