Living nearby in 1910 was the family of William R. Henshaw,10 who was probably Thomas' father.11

He declared his nearest relative as Gertrude Henshaw of Nelsonville, Ohio. He was recorded as medium build, medium height, blue eyes, brown hair.6

HENSHAW SENTENCED
NELSONVILLE, June 14. -- After pleading guilty to non-support of a minor child upon arraignment before Mayor L. J. Eberle, Tom Henshaw, this city, was sentenced to six months in the workhouse and to pay the costs of the action. He was taken to Dayton yesterday by Chief of Police Jack Pearson.

Support.
Pleading guilty to a charge of failure to support minor children, Darl Huston, New Straitsville, was held to the grand jury under $500 bond, when arraigned before the court of Justice of the Peace Carl H. Porter yesterday. The affidavit against Huston was filed by Mrs. Gertrude Henshaw, his mother-in-law. The arrest was made by Constable Harry Dalton. Huston said that he had been unable to obtain work, and had done all he could for the children.
