Edith L. Stephenson, 84, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday, March 13, 2006, at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was born in Marion on Jan. 31, 1922 to the late David Bittle Hanshew and Beulah Bales Hanshew and had resided in Nebo until around 1938.    She married Donald E. Stephenson in 1939 and lived in numerous locations due to his line of work.    She was an active volunteer at her church for many years and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family who dearly loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Stephenson, and a grandson, Roland R. Schrader Jr.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David D. and Germaine Stephenson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna P. and Roland Schrader of Warrington, Pa.; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Hanshew, Randolph Hanshew and Donald and Mae Hanshew, all of Ceres, five grandchildren, Rebecca and Jeff Stokes of Horsham, Pa., Tracie Harrison of Canton, Ohio, Lori and Dan Higgins of Warminster, Pa., Candace and Jerry Ziegler of Deltona, Fla., and Charles Stephenson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law, Hortence Hanshew Rodriquez of Tampa, Fla., Betty Hanshew South of Dresher, Pa., Virginia Nelson of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Zona Huff Swartz of Connellsville, Pa.
Funeral services were held Friday morning, March 17, 2006, from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel.    The Rev. RuthAnne Henley officiated the ceremony.    Interment followed in the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Nebo.

The family received friends Friday morning, March 17, 2006, at the funeral home.
