On Sep 12 [1918] Herman Frederick Moldenhauer, age 33, registered for the World War I draft in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.  He declared he was born November 2 1884, and was then residing in Berlin, Winnebago County, Wisconsin where he was a self-employed farmer.  He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. Ethel Moldenhauer of Berlin.  He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.7  

Ethel and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 8 1920), Nepeuskun, Winnebago County, Wisconsin:2

Bert and Roy Henshaw of Waukau and the Frank Moldenhauer family of Oshkosh called at the Herman Moldenhauer home recently.

Ethel Fern Henshaw died Dec 26 1973, Berlin Memorial Hospital, Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin; age 84.1

Mrs. Herman Moldenhauer

BERLIN -- Mrs. Herman (Ethel) Moldenhauer, 84, Rt. 2, Berlin, died Wednesday afternoon at the Berlin Memorial Hospital.  She had been in failing health for several years.  

Mrs. Moldenhauer was born June 17, 1889, in the Town of Nepeuskun, to Henry and Diana Luker Henshaw.  She married Herman Moldenhauer in Waukau on Dec. 28, 1911.  

She was a lifelong resident of the Berlin area and a member of the Waukau Methodist Church.  

She is survived by her widower, two sons, Henry, Berlin, and Arden, Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Boyd Funeral Home, the Rev. William Jannusch officiating.  Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.  

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Herman died Apr 6 1976, Berlin Memorial Hospital, Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin; age 91.5,6

Herman F. Moldenhauer

BERLIN -- Herman F. Moldenhauer, 91, Rt. 2, Berlin, died Tesday [sic] at Berlin Memorial Hospital.  

He was born Nov. 2, 1884 in Green Lake County, the son of Ernest and Ernestine Kuhn Moldenhauer.  He married Ethel Fern Henshaw, Dec. 27, 1911 in Waukau.  She preceded him in death in 1973.  Moldenhauer had operated a farm until about five years ago.  

Survivors include two sons, Henry, Berlin, and Arden, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Elmer, Omro; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Seefeld-Ruminski-Rasque Funeral Home in Berlin with the Rev. Allen McCaul, pastor of Waukau Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin.  

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Friday.
