Born Dec 17 1909, Templeton, Worcester County, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4,5 (Dec 17 1910).6
Lamond graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked on the Saint Lawrence Seaway Project after school. He soon started working for Kaiser Engineers, a large engineering, construction and manufacturing conglomerate owned by Henry J. Kaiser. He worked on the New York Worlds Fair and other projects until the outbreak of World War II. At that time Kaiser Engineers were tasked by the federal government to assist manufacturers of military supplies and equipment to increase production of military goods. Lamond assisted Brewster Aircraft in the production of Corsair aircraft. He was transfered to Denver to assist in the manufacture of 8" naval shells. He also worked out of Portland, Oregon at the Vancouver Shipyard and Swan Island Shipyard.1

After the war, Lamond started Henshaw Brothers Construction with his brother Jesse. The business failed after a few years. He then started his own engineering construction company based in Eugene, Oregon. The business specialized in rebuilding timber operations, mainly at Booth-Kelly Lumber in Springfield, Oregon. Intermitently he contracted for numerous municipal water supply projects, specializing in prestressed concrete water tanks. These became hugely popular because of their ability to resist seismic events. He worked until his untimely death in 1966.1
