He married Lydia A. Hinshaw, Nov 30 1908, Jerico, Randolph County, Indiana.2 Lydia A. Hinshaw, daughter of William Martin Hinshaw & Annette Gard, was born Nov 29 1889, near Lynn, Indiana.1,2,3,6,7,8 Warren and Lydia were 6th cousins.
Warren graduated about 1915 from the University of Indiana with a DVM.2 He first started a veterinary medicine practice in Winchester, Indiana;10 later he became a "large animal veterinarian" in Adrian, Michigan.2,10 He was also a big game hunter in northern Michigan, Canada and Alaska.2

On Jun 5 1917 Warren T. Hinshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Randolph County, Indiana. He declared he was born Dec 1 1889 near Winchester, Indiana, and he was then residing at 119 E. Franklin, Winchester where he was a self-employed veterinary surgeon with a wife and two children. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, dark brown hair.9
