Mrs. Clarice Fox Hinshaw, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Blumenthal Nursing Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Centenary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jamie Armstrong and the Rev. Elizabeth Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hinshaw was born on Jan. 29, 1917, in Siler City, the daughter of Colie H. Fox and Pearl Johnson.
She was a retired bookkeeper from Moses Cone Health System. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and loved to cross-stitch and do needlework.
Mrs. Hinshaw was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Roland F. Hinshaw and four brothers.
She is survived by sons, Frank Hinshaw and wife Shelby of Greensboro, Gary Hinshaw and wife Patsy of Richmond, Va.; grandsons, Matthew and Jeffrey Hinshaw; sister Margie F. Barker of Siler City; and brother-in-law Lewis Hinshaw.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 2300 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27403 or to an organization of the donor's choice.
Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, N. Elm St. Chapel is assisting the Hinshaw family.
