Born May 5 1941, Piedmont Hospital, Greensboro, Guilford County, North Carolina.^a,b,c,d

He married Lisa Van Bolton, Jan 21 1967, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.^e,164,c    Lisa, daughter of Mallie Lou Bolton & Margaret Ghoulson, was born Jun 13 1944, Jefferson County, Alabama.^c,d

William graduated from Greensboro High School in Jun 1959, and received a BA degree from The Citadel (Charleston, SC) on Jun 1 1963.    He later received a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Alabasma (attending 1966-68 - degree awarded May 1973).    He served as a commissioned officer (Infantry Branch) in the U S Army from Jun 1 1963 until May 31 1968.    He served in Vietnam from Jun 1965 to Jun 1966 as a Ranger Battalion Advisor.    His final Army assignment was as Associate Professor of Military Science at the University of Alabama.    He then served as a Special Agent, FBI from Jun 28 1968 to Apr 30 1992.    When he retired he was the Special Agent in Charge (SES level 5) of the Atlanta FBI Office.    He was then appointed as the Inspector General (IG) of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and served in that capacity until Apr 1994 when he returned to live in the Atlanta (Gwinnett County) area.^c

William and Lisa currently (2007) reside in Dacula, Georgia.^f
