He married Eva M. VanDemus, Dec 31 1919, Henry County, Indiana.^b    (Eva VanDemis)^a,h,i    Eva, daughter of Charles Van Demis & Margaret Burk, was born Sep 20 1904, Jay County, Indiana.^h,209,j    (Sep 26 1901).^b

Herschel and Eva were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 1920), living with Eva's parents in New Castle, Henry County, Indiana:^k
