Sarah Elvira Hinshaw died Sep 30 1996, Eldora, Hardin County, Iowa; buried Evans Cemetery, Weld County, Colorado.1,6  

Elvira's obituary appeared in the "Hardin County Index" on Friday, October 4, 1996 (page 2), as follows:6

Elvira Wehrman, 88, of Eldora, died on Monday, September 30, 1996 at the Eldora Manor of natural causes.  

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 3 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora.  Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora handled arrangements.  A memorial fund has been established.  

Interment will be in Evans Cemetery in Colorado.  

Elvira Wehrman was born January 8, 1908, the daughter of Clarien Jacob and Olive Blanche DeWitt Hinshaw on a ranch near Sundance, Wyoming.  She moved to New Providence in 1914 and attended school there until her junior year and then graduated from Eldora High School in 1926.  She then attended Denver Nursing School at Denver General Hospital and graduated as an RN in 1931.  In 1935 she was united in marriage to Alfred Conley, who preceded her in death in 1962.  

On February 7, 1965, she was united in marriage to Harold Wehrman and they lived near or in Eldora through the present.  

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora; LWML; Roughwoods Cemetery Society; and the Hardin County Historical Society.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; one granddaughter; and one brother Jennings Hinshaw.  

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Cline of Denver, Colorado; three sons, George Conley and his wife, Karen, of Evergreen, Colorado, Raymond Conley of Denver, Colorado, and Jim Conley and his wife, Holly, of Appleton, Wisconsin; two step-daughters, Nancy Teske and her husband, Marvin of Eldora and Kathleen Hackney and her husband, Gail, of Gifford; three step-sons, Harold Wehrman, Jr., and his wife, Donna of Big Fork, Montana, David Wehrman of Mitchellville and Paul Wehrman and his wife, Linda, Waterloo; one brother, Harvey Hinshaw of Eldora; one sister, Nellie Langhurst of Marion; 28 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
