Alice's natural father was not Hugh Baker Hinshaw, but her mother, Theressa Flomerfelt, married Hugh Baker Hinshaw and Alice was shown in the 1880 census as Alice Hinshaw,1 so it seems that Alice was apparently adopted (even if informally) by Hugh Baker Hinshaw.  

She married Leonard Buckland, about 1880.2,3  Leonard was born May - 1840, New Jersey.2,3

Leonard died before Apr 18 1900.2
