He married Nina Jane Early, about 1889.1,2,4,8  Nina Jane Early, daughter of Thomas Whitfield Early & Laura Catherine Hudson, was born Feb - 1870, Virginia.1,2,3,4,8,9  Edmund and Nina were first cousins once removed (through Nina's grandmother, Patsey N. Henshaw), and also second cousins once removed (through Nina's grandfather, Richard T. Early).  Note that Edmund's brother Joseph Samuel Henshaw married Nina's sister Bessie Early.
