Nora Jean Cline

LEXINGTON Mrs. Nora Jean Cline, wife of the late Ivan Cline passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living in Lexington, SC.  Jean was born in Indiana December 4, 1919 to Lowell and Mary Swain Hinshaw.  Jean had 4 children, Anita Padgett (Bill), twins, Robert Cline (Susan), Robin Derrick (Steve) and Steven Cline (Terry); 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  Jean was a farmer's wife in Indiana for many years.  The family moved to Lexington in 1967.  Jean was a faithful member of Lexington United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Agnes Rogers Circle and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.  She enjoyed bridge, book clubs and was an excellent cook.  She served many meals for her family and friends.  Jean was a kind, giving individual, highly intelligent and witty.  Thanks to all the wonderful staff at Morningside who loved and cared for our mother, Tri County Hospice Nurse Jackie Molchan and Debbie Sawyer and special visitors, Joan Kruger, Peggy Lott, Joyce Bumgardner and Pat and Don Bickle.  God Bless you all!  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lexington United Methodist Church, 309 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Lexington United Methodist Church with visitation following the service.  Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.net

NORA JEAN SWAIN HINSHAW CLINE, wife of the late Ivan "Bub" Cline has passed away.  Mrs. Cline died on July 26, 2012 at Morningside Assisted Living in Lexington, SC She was born on December 4, 1919.  Her parents were Lowell and Mary Hinshaw.  

Jean was a member of the farming community in Sheridan for many years.  She and her family moved to South Carolina in 1967.  There she established herself in the Lexington United Methodist Church, was a member of the Agnes Rogers Circle and the Senior Sunday School Class.  She was a member of book and bridge clubs and led a very active social life until the last 10 years when health took a toll.  

She and Bub had 4 children; Anita (Bill) Padgett, twins Robert (Susan) Cline, Robin (Steve) Derrick and Steven (Terry) Cline.  She had 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  

Jean loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them all and was very generous in her love and concern.
