EVANSTON -- Funeral services for Helen P. Andersen, 81, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at at Crandall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evanston City Cemetery.
Friends may call for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today and also one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
She died June 2, 2007 at Evanston Regional Hospital.
She was born in Evanston on May 1, 1926, a daughter to Thomas and Vera (Archer) Hinshaw [sic]. During her early years, she lived with her family on a ranch east of Evanston on Muddy Creek. She later moved to town to attend school.
She married Tharol E. Dean and together they had four children. They later divorced.
She married Joseph J. Andersen on Feb. 16, 1968 in Lander.
She was a longtime member and officer of the VFW Auxiliary. She worked on the Evanston Cowboys Committee for many years and was a volunteer at the Wyoming State Hospital for a number of years.
Survivors include her husband, sons and their wives, Gary Dean and Tharol "Ted" Dean, all of Evanston; daughter, Christi Dean, Lander; 24 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and an infant daughter.
Memorials may be made to the Evanston Senior Citizens Center.
Services are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
