Doris Hansen (1921 - 2012)
Doris Hansen, 90, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Arlington. Entombment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Arlington, American Alzheimer's Association or Gideons International. Doris was a member of the Sundown and Noon Kiwanis Clubs for many years until her health prevented her from participating. She was an avid supporter of Mission Arlington from the beginning. She loved the idea that you could be a missionary in your own town. She was also a member of Gideons International. Doris was a salon owner of Lady Arlington Beauty Salon for numerous years. She loved her customers whom she also viewed as her sweet friends. Doris would see them during the week and many of them again on Sunday at First Baptist, where she has been a member since 1970, upon her move back to Arlington. Doris loved people and made friends wherever she went. Doris and Ray were married on May 27, 1953, and were married 59 years. She was a sweet, loving wife and mother. She loved her family dearly. Doris was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Rebecca Groce; sister, Betty Williams; brother, Brantley Hinshaw Jr. "Pete"; and parents, Brantley and Beaulah Hinshaw. Survivors: Loving husband, Ray Hansen; children, Carroll Hale and his wife, Shirley, Todd Hansen, Andrea Christensen and her husband, Andy; grandchildren, Anthony Milford, Tonya Hall, LaDona Manire and Chase Christensen; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Sonja Green and her husband, Don.
