She married Fred Lewis Small.^4,5  Fred, son of Marvin Small & Claudie Frazier, was born Dec 17 1921, Randolph County, North Carolina.^3,6,7  

Child:

On Jul 18 1942 Fred L. Small, born 1921 in North Carolina, had enlisted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a private in the U.S. Army.  He had declared he had a grammar school education, and was then single, without dependents.  He was recorded as 74" tall, 171 lbs.⁸  

In 2000 Dot was residing in Randleman, Randolph County, North Carolina.⁵  

Fred died Aug 25 2007, age 85.^4,7  

Fred's obituary was published in the "Burlington Times News" (Burlington, North Carolina) on November 24, 2007,⁴

Fred Lewis Small RANDLEMAN -- Fred Lewis Small, 85, of 9306 U.S. 220 Business North, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007.   Survivors include his wife Dorothy "Dot" Hinshaw Small; daughter Carol of Asheboro; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.   The funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at 3 p.m. at Level Cross United Methodist Church, 10142 U.S. 220 Bus. N., with the Rev. Jeffrey H. Sypole and Chaplin Jeff Martin officiating.  Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.   The family will receive friends at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St. on Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home.
