Robert Harold Hinshaw

MURRELLS INLET -- Mr. Hinshaw, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 in South Carolina.  

Born April 4, 1922 in Weddington, NC, he was the son of the late Reverend Robert E. and Cassie Lewis Hinshaw.  Mr. Hinshaw was a World War II, US Air Force veteran and was a 42nd Mason in Charlotte.  He was a retired wood worker, boat construction business owner and had been a maintenance supervisor with Days Inn in Charlotte.  Mr. Hinshaw moved to the area in 1986 and was a member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church and was a volunteer at St. James Middle School in the greenhouse.  He was an avid gardener and collector.  Mr. Hinshaw was preceded in death by his brother, Howard.  

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Callie Doster Hinshaw; daughter, Debbie L. Hinshaw of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, Tara Nutter and Richard Colin Sisk; great grandchildren, Bryson Sisk and Kallie Nutter; sisters, Vivian Bostick and Juanita Berrier, both of Greensboro and twin, Carolyn Logan Beeson of Winston-Salem, NC.  

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday at Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church.
