He married Helen Mae Hamlin, Aug 21 1948, Charlevoix, Charlevoix County, Michigan.2,3,7,8  Helen, daughter of William Henry Hamlin & Ethel Mae Hooper, was born Jan 18 1926, Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida.3,8,9  

Helen died Jun 4 2011, Bainbridge Health Care, Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia; age 85.8,9

Helen Hamlin Henshaw, 85, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Bainbridge Health Care.  

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. Earl Henshaw officiating.  Interment will follow at New Fountainhead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Henshaw was born January 18, 1926 in Clearwater, FL, the daughter of William Henry Hamlin and Ethel Mae Hopper Hamlin.  She was a graduate of Charlevoix High School, Class of 1943.  She received her B.A. in English from Anderson College and her M. Ed. from Troy State University.  She was an elementary school teacher and taught in Faceville, GA and Bainbridge, GA.  She retired from Jones-Wheat Elementary School as a reading coordinator.  She was a member of the Decatur-Seminole Retired Educators Association and served many years as a volunteer tax preparer.  

Survivors include her husband; 1 son; 1 brother; and five grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her son, John Richard "Rick" Henshaw.

Reverend Henshaw was a US Navy Veteran of World War II having served his country during the Normandy Invasion.

William Earl Henshaw was born January 16, 1924 in St. Louis, MO, the son of William Hugh Henshaw and Mary N. Brewer Henshaw.  He earned a Masters of Divinity from Anderson College.  Reverend Henshaw was a US Navy Veteran of World War II having served his country during the Normandy Invasion.  He was active in our community for many years as a minister, school teacher, and later as an IRS Tax Volunteer at the Southwest Georgia Regional Library.  Reverend Henshaw enjoyed worshiping with many local congregations upon his retirement from ministry.  

Survivors include his son and six grandchildren.  Rev. Henshaw was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hamlin Henshaw; his son, Ricky Henshaw; and four siblings.
