Bob Henshaw, 83, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away December 11, 2011.
Bob attended school in Lansing and grew up in the Leavenworth area where he met his wife of 60 years Gloria (Huey) Henshaw. Bob served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for 40 years as a facilities manager at Inland Cold Storage in Kansas City, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughter Robin Henshaw; son-in-law Donn Hess; grandson Owen brother John Henshaw; sister Kate Price; brother-in-law Michael Huey and wife Sandy; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was an animal lover, active in his church, and will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee from. [sic] The funeral service will be 11 am, Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Hope Lutheran Church, 6308 Quivira Road, Shawnee, Kansas, followed by burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hope Lutheran Church organ fund or to Animal Haven.
