Eloise Hinshaw Burkhart, 77, of Becks Church Road died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She had been in declining health six months.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Alliance Church, where she was a charter member, by the Rev. Dan Chisholm. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Burkhart was born June 1, 1922, in Randolph County to William Hinshaw and Lillie Victoria Williams Hinshaw. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin E. Burkhart, on July 15, 1998, and a brother, Paul Hinshaw.
Surviving are three sons, Wayne Burkhart, Jerry Burkhart and Jack Burkhart, all of Lexington; a daughter, Jean Greene of Mocksville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Shoaf of Booneville [sic] and Lillie Mae Kirkman of Denton.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of a son, Jack Burkhart, 541 Becks Church Road.
Memorials may be made to Grace Alliance Church, 457 Burkhart Road, Lexington, N.C. 27292.
