Harvey's obituary was published as follows:4
Harvey Earl Bounds, 87, of Springdale, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born July 18, 1924, in Carney, Okla., to Elmer "Red" and Pearl Timbers Bounds.
Earl worked in oil field drilling earlier in life, and then spent several years with Tyson's. For the past five years, he repaired lawnmowers and mowed yards.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Bounds; a granddaughter, Jainie Bounds; and two brothers, Earnest and Melvin Bounds.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Bounds, of the home; two sons, Bobby Bounds and wife, Mary of Springdale, Jim Bounds and wife, Bernice, of Lyons, Kan.; a stepson, George Robert of Springdale; two sisters, Gladys Presnell and husband, Bill, and Grace Brent, all of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Merle Bounds of Williamsburg, Va., Gary Bounds and wife, Louann, of Lawton, Okla.; six grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Darrin, James, Diana, Tepring and Dawn; two step-grandsons, Bryton and Bryce; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Ray of Hope Community Church in Nob Hill with Pastor Jerry Henshaw officiating. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.
