Calvin's obituary was published as follows:3
Calvin Lee Henshaw, 73, of 4200 Treely Road, Chester, died Friday, July 30, 1993 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John L. and Ethel Maile Henshaw. He was a member of West End Baptist Church for 52 years and was president of Triple L Club at West End Baptist Church. Mr. Henshaw was a veteran of the World War II. He also served on the executive committee of the Board of Trustees of the Children's Home of Virginia Baptist, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Hazel L. Henshaw, three [sic] daughters: Rose Marie Bradley and Nancy Berger, both of Chester; four brothers, Franklin D. Henshaw, John Lee Henshaw, Glenn Howard Henshaw and Robert C. Henshaw, two sisters, Ellie G. Jones and Betty Collins; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Calvin Lee Henshaw, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 2, 1993 at West End Baptist Church, Petersburg. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at E. Alvin Small Funeral Home Colonial Heights.
