During World War II William served in the U.S. Navy.6  

William died Jun 18 1997, St. Edwards Hospital, Fort Smith, Arkansas; buried Oakland Cemetery, 402 Cemetery Street, Clarksville, Arkansas.1,5,6

William J. Perrett

William James Perrett, 87, of Clarksville, Ark., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday June 18, 1997, at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark.  

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Roller-Cox Chapel in Clarksville, Ark.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.  

Mr. Perrett was the son of James and Elizabeth (Moore) Perrett.  He had lived in Leeds.  He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He was a retired truck driver.  

He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church in Sioux City and the American Legion.  

Survivors include his wife, Vera Elva (Henshaw) Perrett of Clarksville, Ark.; a daughter, Donna Rae Nelson of Clarksville; a son, Duane Duey of George, Iowa; a sister; a seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by a son, James William; a brother; and six sisters.  

Pallbearers will be Tom Nelson, Brett Perrett, Kelly Sr., Kelly Jr. and Kevin Casey, and Duane Caldwell.

In 2003 Vera was living in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.1,4

Vera Elva Perrett, 96, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.  

She was a native of Sioux City, Iowa, daughter of the late Ira and Blanche Yockey Henshaw, widow of William James Perrett, member of Wesley Methodist Church in Sioux City, Iowa, and was preceded in death by one son, Dr. James W. Perrett.  

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Nelson of Clarksville; one son, Duey Perrett of Rock Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Debbie Casey of Lamar, Joan Brazil of Van Buren, Tom Nelson of London, Brett Perrett of Knoxville, Ronoe Neison of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., and Houston Perrett and Preston Perrett, both of Rock Rapids, Iowa; and seven great-grandchildren.  

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Bridges officiating.  The body was cremated.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
