Born Dec 14 1923, Stanislaus County, California.^1,2,3  (Jul - 1919).⁴  

On Nov 27 1943 the S.S. "Fort Laramie" arrived at the Port of New York, having sailed from Curacao, Netherlands West Indies; the ship manifest listed Bayliss Fletcher Hanshaw, "SM3/c", among the ship's crew under "U.S. Armed Guards Crewlist".⁵  

On Feb 7 1944 the S.S. "Fort Laramie" arrived at the Port of New York, having sailed from Liverpool, England; the ship manifest listed Bayliss F. Hanshaw among the ship's crew under "U.S. Navy Gun Crew Assigned to the Vessel".⁵  

On Mar 15 1944 the S.S. "Fort Laramie" arrived at the Port of New York, having sailed from London, England; the ship manifest listed Bayliss Fletcher Hanshaw, "SM 3/c", among the ship's crew under "The United States Naval Armed Guard".⁵  

He married Winnie -⁶ [Winifred L. -⁴].  Winnie was born Jul - 1925.⁴  

Bayliss and Winnie currently (2007) reside in Arizona.^4,6
