Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Marine Corps League. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Elven L. Henshaw was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Sioux City, the son of Basil and Mabel (Woolworth) Henshaw. He grew up in Sioux City, attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Leeds High School. Mr. Henshaw was a lifelong Sioux City resident. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He married Christine C. Simons on May 7, 1947 in South Sioux City. She died Sept. 27, 2000 in Sioux City. Mr. Henshaw worked at the Banana Market in Sioux City and South Sioux City. He worked for Boswell Construction from 1970 until his retirement.
He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and the Purple Heart Association.
Survivors include three sons, Elvin Michael Henshaw and his wife, Teresa, of Hornick, Iowa, Larry Dean Henshaw and his wife, Cathi, and Steve Henshaw and his wife, Marta, all of Sioux City; two daughters, Lana Worden and her husband, Robert, and Pam Velasquez and her husband, Louie, all of Sioux City; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Christine, he was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Wamberg; and three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Donald.
Pallbearers will be Jason Wamberg, Brad Winters, Todd Henshaw, Tracy Ehlers, Troy Worden and Lyle Clingenpeel.
