Ellis' obituary was published in the "Huntsville Times" (Huntsville, Alabama) on Tuesday, March 2, 1999, but they misspelled his name as Ellia, so they reprinted an otherwise identical but corrected obituary on March 3, 1999:2
Ellis Henshaw
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Ellis Henshaw, 86, of Lake Mitchell Road died Sunday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral was Tuesday at Crystal Springs Church of God with the Rev. Carlos Beddingfield officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville in charge.
Mr. Henshaw was a native of Jackson County, a retired farmer and a member of the Crystal Springs Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Sally Henshaw of Flintville; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
