The date of his birth was May 9, 1834. He had resided at Cotati for the past sixteen months and had been in the state forty-nine years.
Mr Henshaw was admitted to the bar in Missouri many years ago, but did not practice law and he devoted considerable of his time to writing and drawing. For the past sixteen months he had been making his home with his half-brother, J. F. Welch. The deceased was well known in this county and the state, and had many friends at Cotati, and was also known here. His long life was well spent.
In addition to his half-brother, J.F. Welch, the deceased is survived by three newphew, D.F. Welch of Alameda, J.W. Welch of Oakland, and Harry Perry of Cloverdale, and a neice, Mrs. Calista Lighthall of Alameda, and three grandchildren and several great grandchildren who reside near LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
The remains are at the Beauregard & Brunson funeral parlors.
