For their wedding Sarah Olive and John were given a bible (now in the possession of Lori Lei Knapp) in which was written:2 John C. Sconce and Olive Sconce was married febuary the 12th in the year of our lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy four. 1874
She also wrote in the front of the bible (exact spelling and punctuation):2
