Clifford's obituary was published in "The Knoxville News-Sentinel" (Knoxville, Tennessee) on January 13, 2004:³

HINSHAW, CLIFFORD - age 72 of West Columbia SC, formerly of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Evelyn Hinshaw.  He is survived by his daughter Rebecca Weber and husband Ken of West Columbia SC and his son Gary Hinshaw of Knoxville; grandchildren, Florence and Christopher Weber of W. Columbia SC; sisters, Mildred Godshall of Atlanta and Wanda Stratton of California.  The family will receive friends from 6pm til 8pm on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at the McCarty Mortuary.  Graveside services will be conducted at 11am on Friday at the Greenwood Cemetery.  Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:45am.  McCarty Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
