Helen L. Connor 1920-2006
STREATOR - Helen L. Connor, 86, of Streator, died Saturday morning, Aug. 12, at Camelot Terrace in Streator.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen's Church in Streator. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Streator. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator with a rosary at 7:45.
Mrs. Connor was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Odell, to Walter and Magdalane Hinshaw. She married Robert L. Bennington, who died in 1943. She then married Frances "Frank" Connor, who died Feb. 21, 1959.
She retired from Owens Illinois Glass and was a member of St. Stephen's Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by three sons, Robert L. (Eleanore) Bennington and Ronald (Evelyn) Connor, both of Streator, and John P. (Darlene) Connor of Wenona; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen in infancy; three brothers; and three sisters.
Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Association or St. Stephen's Church.
Pallbearers will be Ron, David, John and Scott Connor, David Pence and Gregg Yusko. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Bennington and Todd and Joe Connor.
