He married Ruth Caroline Edwards^1,6,14,15 [Caroline Edwards¹⁶], Dec 23 1871^1,6,14,15.  Ruth, daughter of John Edwards & Sarah "Sallie" Allen, was born Feb 28 1853, North Carolina.^{1,2,5,8,14,15,16,17}  

Ruth had an aunt, Ruth Edwards² (for whom she was probably named)¹⁸ who apparently lived with Jabin & Ruth & family.  Jabin's family bible shows aunt Ruth was born 4-13-1828,^1,5 and died 11-23-1914.¹
