George W. Hinshaw, 79, of Carmel, passed away on April 2, 2015. He was born on October 11, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Clifford and Florence Hinshaw. He was a veteran of the US Army; active in Scouts, in their latter years, Mr. and Mrs. Hinshaw were very active in their church, Greenwood United Methodist Church, where they often volunteered for VBS. George retired, after 32 years of employment, from Angus Electronics.
George is survived by loving wife, Sandra M. Hinshaw; son, Clifford K. (Carol) Hinshaw; daughter, Paula Ann (Shelly) Hinshaw; and sisters, Marie Hinshaw and Myra Lehman. [sic]
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
George will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood UMC or American Lung Association.
Sandra died May 16 2015, age 76.8
