In 1950 Oliver was ordained as a minister in Labette City, Kansas.  He was widely known as an evangelist vocalist.4  

Oliver died Apr 29 1975, Concordia, Cloud County, Kansas; buried Girard Cemetery, Girard, Crawford County, Kansas.4  

Ethel G. Hanshaw died Jul 28 1988, Concordia, Cloud County, Kansas; buried Girard Cemetery, Girard, Crawford County, Kansas.2
