Clara L. Marburger, 82, of Evans City passed away Monday in the comfort of her home with her family at her side. Born Oct. 11, 1933, in Jackson Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche Nesbitt Henshaw.
Clara was a lifelong member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Clara was known to be an exercise enthusiast and was active in the YMCA in Cranberry. In her free time, she enjoyed camping, traveling, reading, swimming and walking. Above all, Clara treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 59 years, John L. Marburger, who she married April 13, 1957; her daughter, Pamela Rape and her husband, Timothy, of Evans City; her son, Brian Marburger and his wife, Karen, of Colchester, Conn.; her grandchildren, John and Catherine Marburger; and her sister, Betty Hart of Zelienople.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and Dan Henshaw; and her sister, Theda Taylor.
MARBURGER - The family of Clara L. Marburger, who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dan Owen, pastor, officiating.
If desired, memorial donations may be made in Clara's honor to Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church or the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
