On Jun 30 1942 Isaac Worth Hinshaw, age 19, registered for the World War II draft in Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina.  He declared he was born Dec 31 1942 [sic] in Randolph County, North Carolina, and was then residing near Randleman, Randolph County, North Carolina, apparently a self-employed farmer.  He declared his relative/contact was Mr. A.A. Hinshaw.  He was recorded as 5'9" tall, 145 lbs., brown eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion.  Printed "ISAC WORTH HINSHAW" at the top of the form, but signed with "Worth Hinshaw".7  (see scan below).  

Isaac was a farmer.3  He never married.3  

Isaac Worth Hinshaw died Jan 11 2001, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina; buried Giles Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1627 Giles Chapel Road, Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina.1,2,3,4,8

Worth Hinshaw

ASHEBORO - Isaac Worth Hinshaw, 78, of 1532 Giles Chapel Road, Asheboro, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at Asheboro Health and Rehabilitation.  

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, with Pastor Lois Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Giles Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.  

He was a native of Randolph County.  

Surviving are caregiver, Jan Veach of Asheboro.  

The family will be at the funeral home 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday.
